The 1st International Joint Seminar on Education and Social issues

The 1st International Joint Seminar on Education and Social Issues was successfully held on 28 November 2024 via Zoom Meeting, carrying the theme “The Transformation of Education in Digital Society.” This seminar provided a platform for intellectual discourse on how digitalisation continues to influence and reshape the field of education globally.

The event featured 12 distinguished academicians as keynote speakers, representing various institutions including Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), UNITAR, Kolej Ipoh, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (Indonesia), and the Open University of Sri Lanka.

Among the keynote speakers, Dr. Romarzila from Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) stood out with her engaging presentation, offering thought-provoking perspectives on how education must evolve to stay relevant in today’s digital society.

This seminar successfully brought together voices from different institutions and countries, fostering collaboration and shared insights towards a more innovative and inclusive educational future.

Delegation Between Universitas Muria Kudus and UPSI (Primary School Mathematics Program)

On September 4 to 6, 2023, Dr. Romarzila Omar had conducted at an international delegation program between Universitas Muria Kudus(UMK) and UPSI where Faculty of Human Development (FPM) had invited lecturers from UMK . This program's main goal was to make the participants understand more about learning real-based especially in Mathematics subject for primary school.

Dr. Romarzila Omar had involved in International Seminars on Best Practices and Special Education Action Studies (SMART2023) as one of the evaluator or judge. This event was held on 7-9 November 2023 at Faculty of Human Development, UPSI.

On March 30, 2022, Dr. Romarzila Omar skillfully coordinated the international webinar titled 'Closing the Research to Practice Gap' through the Webex platform. Her adept leadership ensured a seamless online experience, fostering insightful discussions among participants from diverse backgrounds.

On June 21, 2022, Dr. Romarzila Omar actively participated in an international webinar titled "Working with Experts," a collaborative effort between Malaysia and Slovakia. The webinar, hosted by CPRI, featured insightful discussions and expertise exchange in an online format through the Webex platform. Dr. Omar, serving as a committee member for the program, played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless organization and success of the cross-cultural event. Her commitment to fostering international collaboration was evident in her contributions to the thoughtful execution of the webinar.
