CSR Towards Enviromental Awareness Through EcoDigiPuppet Software with Early Childhood Education Teachers in Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta

On 2nd April 2025, Dr. Romarzila Omar participated in a CSR programme titled “CSR Towards Environmental Awareness Through EcoDigiPuppet Software” with Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers at Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The event took place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the university’s Multimedia Room, and gathered 50 ECE teachers from across Yogyakarta.

This programme aimed to introduce EcoDigiPuppet, an educational digital software designed to promote environmental awareness among young children through creative puppet-based storytelling. Dr. Romarzila, alongside fellow lecturers and postgraduate students from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), guided participants through the features and potential classroom applications of the software.

The session was lively and interactive, with teachers showing great enthusiasm and interest in integrating digital tools into their environmental education efforts. The event successfully sparked meaningful conversations on how technology can be used to nurture environmental responsibility from an early age

Jaringan Kolaborasi UNY Universitas Yogyakarta

On 15th November 2023, Dr. Romarzila Omar had participated in National Children's Day for Perak state level as a robot and lego exhibitorwith tittle 'Computational Thinking', there was also Mecharobokidz that had been commercialized with reasonable price during the National Children's Day. Dr. Romarzila Omar were assisted by a few fellow lecturers and students of UPSI. It was a hectic exhibition day when there was a lot of visitors coming to the booth.

Family Day Madani UPSI 2023

Family Day Madani UPSI was held on September 7, 2023 at arena UPSI. There were a lot activities and events that conducted for making staffs and UPSI students became together. Dr. Romarzila Omar contributed to the UPSI community by being a part of this program. One of the highlight events of the day was durian feast. Malaysian really love to eat durian, and Family Day Madani UPSI 2023 had set up a durian feast where everybody was really excited about it.

A Visit To The Qurratu 'Ain Kindergaten

In the past, on October 21, 2023, Dr. Romarzila Omar visited Tadika Qurratu 'Ain, a kindergarten that left a lasting impression. The experience was particularly noteworthy due to the unique environment of the kindergarten. Unlike most kindergartens in Malaysia, Tadika Qurratu 'Ain stood out by providing baby cribs, adding a distinctive feature to their facilities. Dr. Omar's visit allowed her to observe and appreciate the exceptional practices implemented by the kindergarten, contributing to her understanding of varied early childhood education approaches. This visit provided valuable insights into innovative kindergarten setups and enriched Dr. Romarzila's perspective on early childhood education practices.

Action Study Colloqium

During the Action Study Colloquium program on August 15, 2023, Dr. Romarzila Omar played an active role in contributing to the event's success. The program, hosted at Pejabat Pendidikan Kota Tinggi, Johor, featured Dr. Romarzila delivering an insightful talk about action study to an audience of more than 40 participants. In her presentation, Dr. Omar shared valuable knowledge and expertise on the subject, creating an engaging and informative session. The colloquium provided a platform for meaningful discussions and the exchange of ideas, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among the participants. Dr. Romarzila's participation significantly enhanced the overall impact of the program, leaving a positive imprint on the attendees' understanding of action research in education.

TASKA Islam Perak

In the past, on June 4, 2023, Dr. Romarzila Omar actively participated in an activity with TASKA Islam Perak teachers. The event involved a visit from TASKA ISLAM Perak to UPSI as part of a community service responsibility program. With more than 18 participants involved, the program aimed to strengthen the collaborative ties between TASKA ISLAM Perak and UPSI while engaging in meaningful community service initiatives. Dr. Omar's involvement contributed to the success of the program, fostering a positive and impactful experience for all participants. The activity showcased the commitment to community engagement and collaboration between the institutions.
